Spanking Model: Emma Bishop (cont.) What made you want to pursue a career as a spanking model? See my response to the first question where I mentioned Janus. It took me a few years after that to get there though.When did you start? My first pro shoot was with an ex-Janus photographer who had seen my own spanking pictures taken by a friend and thought I would make a good schoolgirl spanking model. He invited me to do some pictures and we made a live documentary film at the same time called A Visit to the School Governors. It was so successful that before I knew it I had a ton of emails and a small fan base. Within three months I had 500 visitors a day to my website too.How easy was it to break in to?  I didn't write to many companies but set up my own website so in my case I was approached by them. Then it was by word of mouth recommendation. I attended a pro spanking party for a top site as a model and won 'the naughtiest girl' award at one of them so I guess word got around! I think it's harder to break into if you aren't serious about it as a semi-career, because if you take the first step and it goes well you need to build on this and have the freedom and commitment to market yourself well. It helps if you can act well (improvise on the spot) and look after yourself physically like any other model. I actually also had (still have) a modeling agency contract so I was used to cameras, fashion and staying fit. I still work out four times a week for an hour and a half and run two miles afterwards, that's the type of 'commitment' that I think helps. It is hard work being a spanking model, there is such a lot to it - I could write a whole page on it, so never let anyone ever tell you that we don't earn everything we get.How many shoots have you done? Oh gosh! Photo shoots: probably 50 at least but I have lost count and for Film Shoots, probably 30. I have appeared in 23 spanking films, all of which are now online.Any memorable ones? All of them! I have worked with Northern Spanking, Spanked In Uniform and Sam's Diaries (Sam Johnson) as well as making many films for my own website. I particularly loved a schoolroom one I did for Northern Spanking called Behind the Bike Sheds which was feature length. I loved working with Lucy and Paul, Leia, Kami and Donna that particular day because they are friends too. I also particularly enjoyed The Nightmare that I shot in Holland for Spanked in Uniform. In this I played a dual role of evil schoolgirl twins and I was another girl's worst nightmare. But, I have really loved the script of every film I have been in, or else I wouldn't have been able to do them, I refuse to make films half-heartedly.Do you ever bring suggestions for the scenarios or do you just do as instructed? Yes I bring some notes and ideas to most films or suggest things as we go along. I won't say which ones but I have seen a few moments in the final cut of some films and thought "I'm so glad I suggested that!" Generally though the companies I work with have brilliant scripts to start with so there isn't much scope or need to add much more.What will you not do on film? I always try and do tasteful stuff that is erotic and sexy. I have stripped nude for one film because it was necessary. I won't do live sex, oral sex or anything that I would see as porn. I will never be a porn actress because I trained as a real one and have too much respect for acting. Oh, and I wont ever top in a film or anywhere else, so don't ask!What are your hard limits? I am told I have high threshold levels but it depends on a lot of things: mood, ability of the spanker, my time of the month (emotion effect), implements used and what I had already taken beforehand in a shoot. I can never answer 'how long is a piece of string?' type questions, suffice it to say I have never had to say "sorry I can't take this" in anything I have ever done. Either I have been lucky or I have worked with total professionals who know how to spank - on reflection it's probably both!Do you think you'll carry on with the schoolgirl stuff indefinitely, or does it have an age limit?  I always used to think that there was a definitive time-span to all work as a spanking model but the time kept passing and passing, and I was still wearing school uniforms three years later so I don't know anymore. When I said I was leaving the scene as a spanking model in April 2010 I had lots of emails and messages from people really surprised and saying that I left far too early. I think it is up to the public to decide, the ones who buy the films and follow my work. My friends and fans are honest enough to tell me if I start to suck! After all it is about acting as an adult schoolgirl, not being a real one, and if the acting is convincing enough to give the right illusion then I guess the public will be happy.Indefinitely? No, I don't expect to be wearing school uniforms when I look totally ridiculous and I know it too. It could be five years or less, who knows? Doctor Who was still The Doctor even after eight changes of face and this is only my second coming lol! Are there certain scenarios that are your personal favourites? I loved wearing all the different uniforms when I worked for Spanked in Uniform, everything from French Maid to schoolgirl. The scenarios were different every time, as were the ones I did with Northern Spanking, so again it's hard to say. I particularly like it when it feels like real punishment and I have let myself or someone else down. Being spanked as a housemaid in Punishment Tuesdays and in Behind the Bike Sheds was particularly memorable as I had some real tears when I was told off by Paul and then Lucy, before being spanked. So I would say my favourite scenario is the inevitable real punishment spanking which looks almost like it is filmed 'fly on the wall' style but is totally real, no acting.Explain to us what the lure and reward of being spanked is to you The lure is the anticipation and not knowing what will happen and the reward is being told off but forgiven afterwards, and then having to do corner time or go to my room with a sore bottom.How important is the role play in a CP situation for you? It used to be everything but now real discipline matters more. I think ritual is important and being told what to wear can often add to the control and help to show who is in charge. However, I don't think it is necessary to treat it as a game, unless of course you are playing it as an erotic game... if that makes sense?!Is it lucrative being a spanking model? I think that depends, like any other job, on how much work you get. In reality, unless you are participating full time and able to do films, regular parties, host events, and some 121's, then it may not be as lucrative as some traditional jobs.I have never compared earnings with anyone so don't know, but in my case I was never totally busy or ever full time. How long do you plan to continue as a spanking model? Phew... we have got this far with the interview and I am still here! This time around I have no idea. It will depend on how much work I get, how well I carry it out and whether my friends and followers want to carry on supporting me and telling me they like what I do. I think that's the same with any other job?Your plans for the coming year?  Right now I am in discussion to do some new photos and to appear in another series of films early next year. I am also working on my body and health and making sure I am fitter than ever before, because it has been 18 months and I have to assume the bar has been raised higher... which I love as a challenge!I would appreciate any comments or ideas from anyone, whether they want to work with me in any way or let me know what films or roles they would like to see me in. She is an absolute jewel as a writer and interviewer and is a credit to your site. @TheEnglishMaster - yes I do think it is the best job to have for me, but in any career there is nothing better than doing what you love and what you feel passionate about. I hope I never regret coming back and I will always be some kind of actress anyway :) @Janine; @bendover; @Miss_Naughty - I guess the big man up there got something right with me to give me a suitable bottom to go with my job, so he must have had plans for me early on?! I take this as a huge compliment from so many beautiful people, I feel rather blessed and fuzzy now! tyvm x @islandcarol - I'm sure some models do have other jobs and I did too once, before making a big career change that was slightly forced upon me. But it was the push I needed to get me off of 'dither fence'. It is so hard doing everything though and I can honestly say that even when I am not actually doing any real scene work there is so much marketing, planning, fitness training, emails, phone calls and PR to do that it can be a pretty damm full job...so please think twice if anyone thinks its just about lying across someone's lap with your bottom in the air! Of course what you do depends on how much you want to be available. Not everyone has as much time or availability to do this in their lives sadly, if it's their passion and ideal job choice. @barretthunter - hmmm I did like Chris Ecclestone, as one of the faces of Dr Who. In one scene when he told the naughty children to "go to your rooms" I was already in mine waiting for him to spank me! As honest and straight-from-the-heart an interview as you're likely to read from any spanking model. Let's face it, Emma started quite late and not as one of the prettiest out there (also not sure if she is in any way still active) but she could always take whatever was being dished out including a very hard cane with many multiples of strokes, so she certainly should have merited everyone's respect.
