We have interviewed a few spanking artists in previous issues of The Wellred Weekly, and now it is the turn of the wonderfully talented French artist, Waldo, to appear in the spotlight. He shares information about his interest in drawing spanking art and provides links to various collections of his work. Our author interview for this issue highlights the work of spanking writer, ChardT - someone who always has dozens of ideas spinning around in his head and just needs to find the time to write them all down. Ah - a lot of us can relate to that! ChardT shares some background information with us, explaining how he first got started writing spanking fiction, his sources of inspiration, and how he models his characters on real people. Inspired by a previous article about adult schoolgirls, LSF member mati poses the question, "Why do older women like to dress up, regress to their schooldays and play the role of a naughty schoolgirl?" She was able to explore the answer to this question at a select spanko event in Germany. He considers the idea of dressing up for chastisement and reveals a number of reasons, touching on ritual, role play, rules and much more. Many people who attended UK schools during the early 1960's would no doubt have been familiar with a regime of corporal punishment. Moving on from a real schoolboy to a fictitious one, Februs researches the character of Billy Bunter, also known as the Fat Owl of the Remove. Bunter first appeared in the boys story paper The Magnet and subsequently appeared in many books. Poor Bunter - obese, bespectacled, greedy, lazy and conceited, still manages to generate sufficient humour to make us smile as his food pilfering and other schemes go awry. The outcome is usually the same - he gets punished on his rather large rear end. Cayenne waxes lyrical about that most stingy of spanking instruments - the cane. He recollects the somewhat infrequent yet painful use of the cane during his schooldays, remembering how much the implement was feared by every pupil in the school. He then goes on to tell us of more recreational uses of the cane during the present day, particularly since it is now incredibly easy to obtain canes of every size and strength. Apparently there are even bejewelled canes available for serious connoisseurs! London Tanners is a brand name that spanko's world wide will recognise. We are delighted to introduce Ian Head, who explains his own love of spanking and how he came to set up London Tanners. Here is a guy who started out making handbags, then moved on to the fantastic leather items that we are most interested in. His account is fascinating. Read and enjoy. Teresa May (not to be confused with the other Theresa May, you know, the one that is Home Secretary and Minister for Women and Equalities) is a well known Pro Domme and has been operating most successfully in that role for the last decade. Describing herself as a naturally dominant person, Teresa May gives us an insight into her career. If there are any naughty boys reading her article, the lucky ones might end up in her study for a hard caning on the bare bottom. And the final article in this issue is a tribute to the late Ivor Goldblatt, written by mch. Anyone who has watched any of the Red Stripe spanking videos will recognise Ivor; as well as owning the company, he also acted in many of the videos.
