In Conversation with: John Osborne In this first in a new series entitled 'In Conversation With...' Wellred Weekly talks to John Osborne, owner of the AAA Spanking website. Hi John, thanks for taking the time to feature in our new 'In Conversation With' series. Could you tell us a little about yourself as an individual and also within the world of spanking?  First of all, I'd like to say "thanks" for thinking of me, it's an honour to have this chat with fellow like minded spankos. Well, in the world of kink, I am one of those that took to this rather late, although I always had a fascination in the subject of submission, domination and punishment play in my earlier life... spanking and such only really came to the fore about 10 or 11 years ago when I used to do the odd bit of work for a group of sites I really don't want to help advertise here or mention, other than to say these guys (that have since sold up) were bad news all round. Anyway, I cut loose from them in 2009 and ran my own blogs and affiliate accounts promoting the wonderful world of spanking and am/was known as The Chief at Spankingblogg.com and one day I got fed up enthusing about other people's work and decided to produce some of my own. You know, the kind of stuff that I liked personally, and content that I knew others would like too, or so I hoped! So I am a genuine spanko, I love the fact that those in the Scene over here in the UK are super friendly, a real community, and for the most part, like myself, most are highly educated individuals. I studied psychology many years ago at University, I know of others who studied the same subject and are into this kink, says it all about psychologists, perhaps [laugh].  House RulesWet Panty Spankings Away from the world of spanking and running websites and blogs, I run a pretty ordinary life, I guess. I live out in rural south west England. It's quite beautiful and my commute to work is less than half an hour so I can't complain! My biggest sporting passions are skiing (as a participant) I used to be rather good when I was younger, I still am when I go away each year and love that feeling of zipping about on the snow, such freedom... and my other sport as a "voyeur" is football (soccer), although that has become rather tainted with professional footballers earning stupid amounts of money, becoming grossly arrogant and being unable to relate to the fans any more... and the fact that the poor team that I support (Plymouth Argyle) *whispered in shame* almost went out of business last year and have become very poor, at the bottom of the leagues and having to start over again, which is rather depressing. Other than that, I would appear to be an average 40-something bloke who dislikes bankers a lot and is fed up wondering when the country and my mortgage will ever get paid off! What led you to set up AAA Spanking? As I said, I used to work for an unmentionable company (laughs again) and watching how they dealt with the film-shoots and post production taught me a lot and I knew I could do the same or better as admittedly a lot of their stuff from 2004 and 2005 was actually very good. So when I was owed so much money from these guys I knew I had to move on, even though I and another producer they stiffed were the largest creditors behind the Tax authorities, I had no idea they were planning on bailing out after they reformed in 2009 so in hindsight, I made the right decision to do my own thing and this is where the idea to form Triple A started.  Jasmine's SlipperingFlamenco Failure I started secretly filming in September 2010 and building up enough content to launch a respectable paysite, originally for Xmas 2010, but it got launched officially on Jan 15th 2011 and I haven't looked back since! What are the kind of things one needs in order to set up a commercial spanking video site? Well, you do need some funding, sadly as I was owed so much from the previous producers, I had to borrow a lot from my credit card and cash reserves as well as goodwill of other people, which to start with was hard as I didn't know enough people and my association with the previous guys didn't help but once more people started to know who I was and that I'm a decent chap... things progressed nicely!Apart from funding, you need friends, as I said, and contacts. You also need a grounding in how to set up and market a site, I really think this is important if you are to succeed, you should never leave this to another person. Also being able to edit your own content, your own ORIGINAL content is important too! The funding goes towards costs like ensuring you have a decent laptop or PC for your website work, cameras, reserves for hosting and model/designers who are better at Photoshop than yourself etc - setting up a site is probably the hardest bit and puts many people off but nowadays models go on clips sites and start that way, it's very amateurish and I wouldn't recommend they do that as many will have little marketing experience. You also need patience and luck... my very first film-shoot was a near disaster, models not turning up, others coming in to help at the last minute, it almost put me off from the start. I'm glad it didn't though as I have watched my little site develop and grow and I'm very proud of the way it has grown into something special.   A Humiliating PaddlingGet Outta Bed! When you appear in your own vids do you think it's better to try and remain detached during the spanking scenes or do you think it makes for a better shoot if you just go with the flow? Sadly for my members, it is often cheaper for me to appear in my vids (laughs) - what a rotten job to do, eh? However, I do try to limit the number of times I appear and when I do, I do a bit of both. We discuss the scenario in advance, no actual written scripts and then just go with it, I get into character, the girl does the same and we play it out... sometimes we forget what we're doing and fluff our lines which is why I try not to waffle or drone on too much, but there is definitely an element of great humour in the vids and time on set is always good fun!How did you go about deciding on which spanking models to work with, are there any you particularly enjoy working with and why? I remember a few from the old days and had hired a few of those, it would seem unfair to name names but at the start I went with tried and tested route. Safe options of girls I knew of who were professional and would deliver what I needed. As I have been in the biz as a producer now for 18 months or more, that has changed somewhat and now I get approaches for work, which is always flattering, and I also try to work with new girls.My personal taste is real girl next door types although that can change, and I had a shoot with some girls recently who surprised me. One girl was unable to take much of a spanking after a few films but was a real looker and her films are still immensely viewable despite this. For example, in one to come out soon, it has her looking really nervous, even though we respected her levels 100%, it still looked good on camera as there was no acting in her submissive nature. Another girl was so naughty that she fulfilled a personal wheelbarrow spanking fantasy of mine and I hope to be working with her again soon.
