Creating 3D Spanking Images
by Angela Fox

I have been producing 3D spanking and other erotic images for a number of years and am often asked by friends how it is done and whether it can be done by anyone, including people with minimal artistic talent. The subject of 3D art in general is quite complex but perhaps surprisingly, producing spanking images can be quite easy to do. To demonstrate this I will illustrate the steps used to produce a simple spanking image of one woman spanking another over her lap. The image produced will be of decent quality, at least suitable for a book illustration, although certainly capable of improvement. Even better the image will be produced using a free software program called Daz 3D studio which is relatively straightforward to use and can be freely downloaded from the internet.

The purpose of this article is not to offer tuition in the use this software as such an article would of necessity be particularly long and quite boring. However, the program is relatively easy to use and comes with a number of examples and tutorials. There are also plenty of videos on YouTube that will show how to do everything I describe here.

When the Daz 3D Studio program is first launched it displays a 3D figure of 'Genesis' (Fig. 1). This figure is nude, without genitalia and hermaphroditic which allows it to subsequently form the basis of a man or a woman. Initially, it is created in grey and is exceedingly dull to look at. First, it needs to be shaped into a male or female form and then have an image painted on its surface using the appropriate flesh tones. This sounds complicated and truthfully it can be very complicated if you have to do it from scratch but fortunately you don't have to. Daz supplies male, female and even child models which do the hard work for you. You just select what type of figure you want and load it up. Daz also supplies two hair styles with various colourings, so for this particular figure I selected the Aldora hair and chose black for the colouring (Fig. 2).

Fig. 1Fig. 2

Since I am going to create an OTK F/f spanking image I will make her the one doing the spanking (lets call her 'Domina'), which means she is going to need to be posed in a seated position. It is easier to do this if you have the something on which Domina is going to sit. Now it is possible to make a chair or bench within the program itself, but this can be a bit tedious. A simpler way is to find a free chair model that you like on the internet, copy it to your computer and load it in. I found this chair online here and used the import function to bring it straight into the program (Fig. 3).

It doesn't matter that Domina is standing in the middle of the chair right through the seat. I merely use the positioning controls in the program to bring her forward, bend her thighs and knees appropriately and lower her till she is sitting in the chair. I also positioned her shoulders and arms so that she will smack her spankee ('Subina') with her right hand and holding her with her left. Moving the limbs is easy to do by merely selecting them and moving the controls that change their bending and rotations to get the limb positions you need. To make it even more realistic I twisted her neck and tilted her head so she appears to look at her target and also put a slight smile on her face, because after all why spank her victim if she isn't enjoying it? (Fig. 4).

Fig. 3Fig. 4

Now we need her spankee, 'Subina'. Importing another Genesis figure is simple and applying the female model to her colors her so she looks identical to Domina. Using identical figures might be a problem but it is possible to change her physique and in any case we need to create a sort of pained expression on her face which will distract the causal observer from noticing that it is the same girl. It is easier to do this with her standing facing the front camera and the program makes it easier by allowing you to focus on her face. Another way to make her look different is to apply the 'Sally Mae' hairstyle that also comes with the program (Fig. 5).

Now for the fun part. We turn Subina to the right and position her horizontally so that she lies over Domina's lap. Then we just have to pose her limbs such that her arms are outstretched to the floor with the toes of one leg touching the floor and the other leg kicking out (as they do) when the buttocks are spanked (Fig. 6).

Fig. 5Fig. 6

Finally Domina's left hand needs to be tweaked so that it appears naturally resting on Subina's back. At this point most of the work is done but the image doesn't look very realistic. For that we need to add a few lights (good tutorials on lighting can be found all over the internet) and position the camera to get the view we want. Once we are satisfied we can then 'render' the image to create a jpeg image file (Fig. 7).

Fig. 7

The total time to create this image starting from scratch took less than an hour even allowing for a few interruptions along the way. To make the image a little more convincing it's probably worth using a paint program to add some colour to Subina's bottom cheeks. A more complicated way of achieving this goal would be to paint the skin image for the Subina figure with some redness around the buttocks and I have done sometihng similar to this on other images in order to include marks from a cane. The advantage of this is that you can still see the bruises wherever you move the camera saving you having to do this each time in a paint program when you want to create a new image of the same figures from a variety of different camera positions.

Finally you could add some basic rectangles and primitives to create walls and even furniture or you could import some more models from the internet as I did in this similar image I created some time ago. The milk and cookies being a joke suggested by a friend (Fig. 8).

Fig. 8

I hope this has given you a little glimpse into the processes involved when creating 3D spanking images. If you have any questions or need any images for your books I can be contacted at [email protected].

This looks like so much fun! I will have to download the software and play with it, although I have my doubts as to how successful I will be. It looks like it will take lots of practice.

This was truly a great article on (How To). I have a good friend from Australia who goes by the name of Banjo. He's a F/M fan when it comes to spanking images of this type and does it well. Your images are fantastic as well. For myself, I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to explain your craft. Impressive in my eyes.

To gail, PinkAngel, FiBlue and bendover.

Many thanks for your nice comments, I really appreciate it.

@Fiblue - I hope you are able to play with the software. It can be a lot of fun when you first produce a decent image that actually looks just like you want it.. And please email me at [email protected] if you have any specific questions or you get stuck.

@bendover - I am not familiar with the work of your friend Banjo but I will keep a look out. There are of course many wonderful 3D artists out there who post all over the web and many do incredible spanking related art as well. Of course 3D software can be challenging but there are plenty of free programs and tutorials on the internet for those who would like to just experiment.

Wow, and we can all do this? Amazing, I cannot even draw a straight line on a piece of paper...LOL. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to show this material, I find it amazing that it took you under an hour

That was a wonderfully clear explanation! It's just fascinating how you set about making those images.

Artists often need models. One of the advantages of computer programs such as this is that you can create the picture that you have in your mind and modify it as much as necessary and then use it as a guide to actually draw the scene on paper. It saves a lot of erasing.
