Editorial Welcome to this second edition of the Wellred Weekly. In this bumper edition Rollin shows how basic story plots can be recycled and enhanced with a super spanko spin. Linda considers why we write spanking stories, who we write for, whether we should pander to our readers, and to what extent an author should be influenced by adverse comments. We all have our favourite spanking implements - Bendover reminisces about one close to his heart (or should that be his bottom?) and sings the praises of the humble butter pat. The edification continues. Anyone interested in goatskin thongs or learning just what the Romans have done for us, will benefit from a perusal of Februs's article on Lupercalia - an ancient flogging festival. From flogging we move on to gargling, expanding diaphragms and adjusting headphones, as Valerie gives an account of what is involved in narrating and recording stories for the LSF audio project. Following on from Phil K's interview in the first issue, we have pleasure in introducing DJ Black as our next spanking author, and provide an insight into his spanking fiction preferences. Still on the interview tack, we chat with spanking artist Underling and learn what inspires him to draw. My own article traces the use made over the years of the humble bundle of twigs known as the birch, which was once the most popular spanking implement in Europe. Also in this issue we feature the first of a series of articles where schoolday spankings are recollected beginning with Patxi who recalls his own experiences with corporal punishment at boarding school. Grace Brackenridge is ideally placed to tackle the complex set of ideas that constitute the psychology of spanking. Split over this and the following issue we present a learned article which examines the many and diverse areas that comprise this subject. Punishment is supposed to hurt, but what do you do when your whackings no longer result in the desired effect, and your spanking partner experiences a dose of 'The Dead Bottom Blues'? Thomas Bruns dishes out some handy hints. The rest of the issue is devoted to a wonderfully eclectic mix of entertaining bonkersness! 2 comments
